Casey Keeler possesses a character infused mezzo-soprano that effortlessly charms in comedic solo performance or blends in choral harmony. Known for delivering humorous and poignant performances, she is quickly establishing a reputation as a New York based talent of great musicianship, versatility, and depth. With the Blue Hill Troupe in New York City, she has won the 2015 International Champion at the International Gilbert & Sullivan Festival in Harrogate, England, gracing their stage stateside in leading roles in light operas such as the Duchess in The Gondoliers and Edith in Pirates of Penzance and musicals such as Madame Dubonnet in The Boyfriend and Grandma Addams in Addams Family. In their 100th year, she can finally say she is a dancer as one of Reno's Angels!
Increasingly in demand on the concert stage, Keeler is a frequent chorister in and around the New York area with extensive experience out of the Washington, DC choral scene. She most enjoys operatic chorus and while beginning her career in Opera Saratoga's La Boheme right out of school, she is currently engaged with the Light Opera Company in their production of CARMEN set to play in the Bronx in 2024. In 2017, she made her Carnegie Hall debut with Judith Clurman's Essential Voices USA and the New York Pops at their Annual Holiday Concert, featuring soloist Megan Hilty. Past holiday performances include working alongside nationally renowned music producer Rob Mathes, The Chieftains, and Kenny Rodgers himself. As a member of the National Philharmonic Singers i Washington DC, she won 3rd Place in the Chamber Choir Category, at the Llangollen Music Eisteddford in Wales. As a founding member of the National Broadway Chorus, she worked with Pops Conductor Luke Frazier on all stages of the Kennedy Center, showcasing American popular music and culminating their premiere season with a one night only concert production of Children of Eden with Stephen Schwartz in attendance.
Casey is an avid instrumentalist and sightreader, distinguishing herself on piano and trombone, which she is known to still publicly perform. She graduated summa cum laude from Skidmore College with a Bachelor of Science in Theater and Minor in Vocal Performance. She has additional studies in Acting from Circle in the Square Musical Theater Program and the British American Dramatic Academy Shakespeare Programme.
