CASEY KEELER   Actress/Singer in the DC/Baltimore Area

NEWS:
Casey is dusting off her good 'ole trombone to be featured on-stage for Pointless Theatre Company's original production of Minnie the Moocher!  Part jazz concert, part puppet show, and all uniquely fun; “Cab Calloway’s Minnie the Moocher” will have you laughing, toe-tapping, and “hi-de-ho”ing all night long!  Friday, April 13, 20, 27 @ 8PM,   Saturday April 14 @ 3PM and 8PM, Saturday April 21, 28 @ 8PM, Sunday April 22, 29 @ 3PM

CURRENTLY:
May is a BIG Choral Month for me!
I feel right back in college as I've been attending class at Montgomery College as the Alto Section Leader for The Montgomery College Chorus that will be performing selected movements of Mendelssohn's Elijah on May 4th @ 7:30 at the Rockville Campus.

UPCOMING:

National Philharmonic Chorale: Debussy's Martyrdom of Saint Sebastian on Saturday, May 19, 2012, 8 pm; Reviewers have praised the sheer beauty of The Martyrdom of St. Sebastian, with its evocation of ecstasy and mysticism. Describing his intentions with this piece, Debussy wrote, “When in the last act, the Saint mounts to paradise, I think I set down what I felt at the thought of soaring to the heavens!” The piece debuted in Paris in 1912 to great critical acclaim and packed houses. The National Philharmonic Orchestra and Chorale are honored to perform the Washington-area premiere of this rare, beautiful and too-long neglected work! I'm just glad to finally do some French and modern pieces!

National Philharmonic Singers: Free spring concert on Saturday, May 12, 2012 at 8 pm at Christ Episcopal Church, 107 South Washington Street, Rockville, Maryland. Special guests will include the Chamber Singers of Landon School under the direction of Tad Cavuoti.  The concert will feature music from the British Isles and the Continent and will include Ralph Vaughan Williams' cantata "In Windsor Forest,” and a collection of choruses from his thrilling opera, "Sir John in Love."  Music for the church includes the antiphonal "Lobe den Herrn" by Heinrich Schuetz, and English church anthems "God is Gone Up" by Gerald Finzi and Charles Villiers Stanford's "Beati quorum via."

Look at my most recent improv work ROLEPLAYING a Diaster Victim for the National Capital Region Full Scale Exercise.  This was my second year on duty, and thankfully this time they gave me a CONSCIOUS character....  This article is a feature (and huge color photo!) in the Montgomery Gazette.

I will also soon be portraying a mass-casualty victim for the Nahrain Consulting Group. See more here: http://www.nahraingroup.com/#casualty.cfm.  This is a government contract and I'm really glad to be breaking in more to this popular field in the DC area!
